Coding courses are for the days I'm tired. Just coding along with the instructor. Understanding some parts while not deep-thinking the code I write.
Coding books are for when I'm fully rested and sharp. I have my editor next to the book and write examples for every concept. Struggling, thinking through the concepts, failing to understand most of them at first.
So it's more a question of "Tired or rested?"
